What to look for after a week

  • Wake-up clustering: Are wake-ups around the same time? Often a sign of a sleep cycle issue (typically every 50-90 min) or a developmental thing.
  • Bedtime vs sleep quality: Earlier bedtimes often reduce night wake-ups. Counterintuitive but real.
  • Morning wake-up consistency: Same wake time +/- 30 min is normal. Wildly varying = circadian rhythm not yet locked in.
  • Trends: Even small improvements (one less wake per night per week) add up. Worse nights happen โ€” don't change methods on a single bad night.
